Learn how to edit existing chats, leave chats and then with the correct chat permissions, archive and unarchive chats from your farm.

Steps to Edit Chat

• Firstly, you will need to either be an administrator of the chat, or have the chat ‘Manage’ permissions enabled. 
• From within the chat, select the settings icon in the top right hand corner.
• From here, you can change the name, chat photo, members, admins and background photo.
• Select ‘Save’.
• Pro Tip - If you click and hold on a user, you can drag them between the administrators and members section easily. 

Steps to Leave a Chat

• From within the chat, select the settings icon in the top right hand corner.
• Select ‘Leave Group Chat’.
• Confirm.
• Note - If you do not have Chat ‘Manage’ permissions, you will no longer be able to view or contribute to this Chat group and would need to get another user with ‘Manage' permissions, or the Chat Admin to re-add you to this group.

Steps to Delete/ Archive a Chat

• Firstly, you will need the chat ’Manage' permission enabled.
• From within the chat, select the settings icon in the top right hand corner.
• Select ‘Archive’.
• Confirm. This will now remove the chat for all users from the farm, they will not be able to access this without Chat ‘Manage' permissions.

Steps to Restore/ Unarchive a Chat

• Firstly, you will need the chat ’Manage' permission enabled.
• From within the chat menu, select the small bin icon. Here you can see all archived Chat groups.
• Select the chat you wish to unarchive.
• From within the chat, select the Settings icon in the top right hand corner.
• Select ‘Unarchive’.
• Confirm. This will now reinstate the chat for all users.
