Learn how to create new direct chats and group chats for your farm.

Chat Permissions

In order to create new direct and group chats with other farm users, you will first need the chat ‘user’ and ‘create’ permissions enabled.
You can then add other users to new chats, however those users must have chat ‘user’ permission enabled in order to use the functionality and participate in the chat.

Select ‘Chat’ from the Resolution navigation menu along the bottom of the screen.
Select the blue plus sign.
1. If you have multiple farms, select which farm you'd like to create the chat for.
Add other farm users to the chat, this can be a private chat (just you - so don't select other users), single user (direct chat) or a group chat with multiple users. Select ‘Done’.
Enter the chat details, such as chat name, chat photo and background photo.
Select the administrators of the chat (admins can edit the chat settings once it has been created).
Select ‘Save’ and begin using your new chat.

Those users that are chat administrators can edit the settings of the chat (members, other admins, name, photo and background photo) once the chat has been created.
Pro Tip: Those with the chat ‘manage’ permission enabled also have the same access to these settings, regardless if they have been given the admin role of that specific chat.
