Farm ‘Manage’ Permission Level Required.

  • To access the farm map editor, you will need the farm ‘manage’ permission enabled.
  • You should only access the map editor on the desktop Resolution app.

How to Access Map Editor.

  1. Select ‘Settings’.
  2. Select ‘Map’.
  3. Select ‘Go to map editor’.
    1. This will open the map editor in a new tab.

Understanding the Different Map Versions.

  • The current map version is your live map, usable for all users on the app.
  • Map history shows your previous map versions that were once live, in chronological order. You can click on these maps to view them.
  • After you select update map, you can see that your draft map version becomes visible. The current map version is the foundation, in which you can then make your changes to. None of these changes will be live in your app until you select ‘Validate and save changes’ - this will be explained in future lessons.
    • You can come and go from your draft map.

How to Name Your New Draft Map Version.

  1. Select ‘Update Map’.
  2. Under ‘Map Change Title’ you will see your current date. By default this will be the name of your new draft map version. You can change this to whatever you like.
  3. Add notes. Under ‘Notes’ you can add a written note or description to your map name.
  4. Once you are happy, select ‘Next’.

In the upcoming micro lessons, we will show you how to make your changes to the map.
