Choosing between ‘Match All Tags’ or ‘Match Any Tag’ - Mobile and Desktop

  1. Navigate to the records page
  2. Select the tag filter
  3. At the top of your page, you will find the option between 'Match all tags' and ‘Match any tag’
  4. Below we will explain the difference and how to use them

Match All Tags

  • Match all tags, means if you select two or more tags to filter your records timeline. The records MUST contain all of your selected tags to be displayed in the timeline.
  • For example: From our Dairy Demo Farm - if we select the tags ‘Drenching/Vaccinations’ and ‘R2 Heifers (Penny)’. The records timeline WILL ONLY show records that contain both of these tags.

Match Any Tag

  • Match any tag, means if you select two or more tags to filter your records timeline. The records need to only contain one of your selected tags to be displayed in the timeline.
  • For example: From our Dairy Demo Farm - if we select the tags ‘Drenching/Vaccinations’ and ‘R2 Heifers (Penny)’. The records timeline will show all records that contain at least one of these tags, not strictly both.

Best Practices

  • Use 'Match all tags' for more precise filtering of your records, this is the more specific option
  • Use ‘Match any tag’ if you want to view all records that contain your at least one of your selected tags. This is the broader option.
