Area

  • To begin creating an area or shape, zoom into the map for more precision, and then tap or click on the map to set a starting point.
  • Continue to tap around the map to outline your shape, this can be as simple as a 3 point shape, or much more complex.
  • Select your starting point again to complete your shape.
  • Select ‘Done’.
  • Add a label and select the colour of your shape.
  • Select either ‘Continue drawing’ to add more map layers, or ‘Finish drawing’ to go back to editing your record or task.

Line

  • To begin creating a line, zoom into the map for more precision, and then tap or click on the map to set a starting point.
  • Continue to tap on the map to create the points of your line, this be as simple as a 2 point straight line, or much more complex.
  • Select ‘Done’.
  • Add a label and select the colour of your line.
  • Select either ‘Continue drawing’ to add more map layers, or ‘Finish drawing’ to go back to editing your record or task.

Point

  • To create a point, zoom into the map for more precision, and then tap or click on the map to set a point.
  • Select ‘Done’.
  • Add a label and select the colour of your point.
  • Select either ‘Continue drawing’ to add more map layers, or ‘Finish drawing’ to go back to editing your record or task.

Best Practices

  • Often creating map layers on desktop allows for more precision and accuracy, for example when creating an area for the contractor to show an area that needs to be fertilised.
  • You can add as many map layers to a record or task as you wish.
