# Transfer Record to a Task

## Learn how to transfer a record and all of the information into a task.

### Steps to Transfer a Record to a Task - Mobile

1. Navigate to the records timeline.
2. Identify the record you wish to transfer to a task (using the filters if needed).
3. Select the three dots menu at the top right of the record.
4. Select ‘Save as task’.
5. Make any changes to the new task that you wish.
6. Add an assignee and due date.
7. Select ‘Save’.

### Steps to Transfer a Record to a Task - Desktop

1. Navigate to the records timeline.
2. Identify the record you wish to transfer to a task (using the filters if needed).
