Farm ‘Manage’ Permission Level Required.
- To access the farm map editor, you will need the farm ‘manage’ permission enabled.
- You should only access the map editor on the desktop Resolution app.

How to Access Map Editor.
- Select ‘Settings’.
- Select ‘Map’.
- Select ‘Go to map editor’.
- This will open the map editor in a new tab.

For the following micro lessons for your farms base map editor, we will no longer show the required permission levels and how to access the map editor.
How To Set Starting Position.
- From within the map editor screen, under the ‘Map Settings’ window, select ‘Edit settings’.
- Use your mousepad or the manual map controls to adjust the view, positioning and zoom level of your map.
- Your starting position is the view you will see of your farms map when you first load into Resolution, first open the map, and first begin to create map layers within records and tasks. Therefore choose a start position that is over your farm.
- Once you are happy with the view and positioning, select ‘Set Starting Centre & Zoom’.
- Select ‘Save’.

How To Set Paddock Label Zoom Levels.
- From within the map editor screen, under the ‘Map Settings’ window, select ‘Edit settings’.
- Use your mousepad or the manual map controls to adjust the view, positioning and zoom level of your map.
- Your paddock label zoom level determines the level at which your paddock labels (names) become visible on the map. If you zoom the map out further than this level, the paddock labels will not be visible. At the set level and closer, the paddock labels become visible.
- Once you are happy with the zoom level that you want your paddock labels to be visible, select ‘Set Label Min Zoom’.
- Select ‘Save’.

How To Delete Draft Map Version.
- From within the map editor screen, under the ‘Map Settings’ window, select ‘Edit settings’.
- Select ‘Delete Draft’.
- Select ‘Delete’ once more to confirm.
- NOTE: This will delete all changes you've made to the map that haven't yet been validated and saved.

Validate And Save Changes.
- After making changes to the starting position and zoom levels, you need to validate and save your changes.
- Pro Tip: We recommend only validating and saving your changes made to the map once at the end, after all your changes have been made.
- To do so, select ‘Validate & Save Changes’.
- Select ‘Save Changes’ to confirm.
- Users will then need to sync the app for these changes to be visible.
